Reading the reviews from the uk.businessinsiders article on the launch of Beats1 I concluded that they have been quite successful with fulfilling the needs of the audience. Many of the people interviewed said they "loved hoe electric the tracks are" and love the enthusiasm from the DJ's. Not many had complained and even Tyler Haynes the Communications Manager who believes "hes not the target audience" of Beats1 still likes the idea of it and that is it there for others to use. I think that it definitely fulfills the entertained aspect, reading the reviews as many acknowledge the new fun tracks, and upbeats of the DJ's themselves. I think the Social Interaction aspect is hit well too, as the new uncommon artists played can be used as conversation starters. Most of the people interviewed said that there were minimal interruptions to the music so the audience wouldn't be very informed and educated about the world we live in, but in the scenario I don't think they really want to be as they simply want to listen to the music. If they wish to learn about the world they couldn't simply search u the news, or watch a talk show.
Then I read an article on computerworld.com about the same issue. Unlike the previous website which looked more into the people point of view this had a more detailed description of the more technical side of things. It outlined the good and the bad aspects of Beats 1 Radio and what was the reason Apple even bothered to make one, as radio's are old fashioned and surely people are gonna stick to what they know. It explains that because Beats 1 is just one radio that doesn't have more specialized radio channels it brings people together and is almost vintage. This way everybody all around the world is more or less listening to the same thing on Beats1. This allows for social interaction. Furthermore due to the wide range it music it allows everyone to identify with themselves and maybe even learn something new bout themselves as well.
