I these are my final CD covers. For my front I used a very similar image to what I had made for my Promotional poster and had just resized it and played a bit with the tool to get a better contrast. I had decided to keep the front very similar to the promotional poster because to me it would make the most sense and would be easier to identify. If I had more time though I would have like to retake some images based on my new skill set and gave the artist more movement in facial expression and body language, as she look quite stiff. I decided to move the artists name rather from under the title where it was before to the bottom right corner because I think it had more of an effect and popped out under her skin tone. I kept the contrast quite high to make her stand out but as said before was not very happy with the lighting of the photograph. I had also enlarged the album title and stretched it out, I thought it looked better this way as it took up the space more nicely and although less legible than before I thought you could still understand what it said and if need could read the side cover.
For my back I used a photograph I had taken on the shoot but never used in my promotional poster. I'm actually quite happy with how my back turned out. I decided to make the back in the same style as the front but not the same picture. I think it reminds me a lot of Adele's 25 CD cover. One thing I was not very happy though is the test for the songs, I didn't really know how to make it fit without making the text to be but not leaving to much not used area. I'm also not sure about the font I used, I tried to correlate it with test from my promotional poster but not very happy with the result. Now that I think about it I feel I should've used something more simple. I do on the other hand like the font for the numbers that I used, I think it stands out nicely and fits with the over all theme. Oddly I really like the bottom of my poster, my QR code, copyrighting and record label, I think it looks like it does on actual CD's and makes me happy of it simplicity. I am also pretty happy with my sides although they don't actually have much on it, but I somewhat like the simplicity and the space on either sides. The genre and audience stay the same so I won't repeat myself.
