I learnt a very valuable lesson when taking the photographs. After taking the pictures I forgot to save them an ended up accidentally deleting them all. I went through all the effort of trying to save my images by ...... them from my computer and sadly a lot of them ended up being corrupt and some the images that I actually liked never got .......... at all. On the bright side the model was okay with re-doing the photos a couple days later and so we retook them. The photo-shoot itself ended up being quite interesting, I think the first one had much more enthusiasm because the second time around everyone was kind of juts tired of it. The makeup took quiet a while the first time because I wasn't sure how I wanted it to look. I think that the photo quality of the first photo-shoot was much more better, but I will definitely learn from my mistakes and make sure to save the images twice before doing anything with them. I had some issues with the lighting and tried a lot of different things. I really like the idea of the hair flip, but the issue with that was getting the camera to click at the right time.

Just to add onto the information below I think that Reveal magazine's audience are most likely British teenagers as most of the people on the front cover are modern reality tv stars and their life gossip, content such as this would stereotypically interest the teenagers more.
Reveal magazine is published weekly which shows that it's not a high quality magazine and the production of such a magazine wouldn't take long. This would also explain the low cost of the magazine and the fact. The magazine content is " We were given the job to write a double page spread article for my magazine, which I'm still in process of making. I thought this task would be easy to do, but I actually found it quite hard to write enough content on a subject matter I'm not really aware off, I think I found it hard because I wasn't aware of the language used in the fashion industry. I tried a couple different approaches to the matter but in the end I decided it wasn't really working for me.
So I created a double page spread and wrote from the view point of a 'model' and by doing so I allowed myself to use much more standard basic language and made it feel less high end. It turned out sort of like a advice, chat column, I'm not sure how that would actually work in a magazine, but since I wanted to create a controversial magazine the content can then also be quite different. So here it is:
Audience The audience of my magazine would be upper middle class, this means they have quite a lot of extra money to spend on leisure, as magazine from which I have gathered my inspiration and am basing my personal magazine from all are quite expensive and can cost up to $50 each, although that depends on the copy and magazine as vogue is much cheaper. I would aim my magazine to the female gender, as I think as a female myself it would be easier for me to understand the wants of the female gender, furthermore as I'm using a female as my front cover it would connote that its a female based magazine (yes playboy has girls on it, but there they are sexualised). I suppose my audience would be in the range of 24-35. I don't think people over 35 would read a magazine as such as I want it quite modern and weird trendy and I find that older people like to stick to things the know and wouldn't be interested in experimenting. I said that youngest would be 24 as i suppose they need to be stable and have the money to spend on and expensive magazine, but children from wealthy families under the age of 24 may also be purchasing such a magazine. I think the audience of my magazine could be put under more or less 3 psychometric groups depending on who they are: the succeeder, the aspirer, the explorer. The explorer would be using this magazine to find new brands and innovative new trends to follow, although I think they wouldn't be constant consumers as they would seek to explorer more different magazines as they're not seeking the status and high end of the magazine rather they are just seeking to explore . The aspirer seeks status and wouldn't mind putting in extra money for a luxury magazine, this would be my more constant costumer. They would use the magazine to gain status, to show their place in society. Succeeders might also find themselves reading such a magazine as they already are of high status and believe they deserve the best brands and but as they seek control they would look for brands they find reliable, due to this succeeders may completely fit into the typical reader or such a magazine as the magazine is more innovative. In conclusion the most common reader would be under the aspirer group on thew psychometric scale. Competition Competition against my magazine would be the magazines I used for inspiration such as V magazine or iD magazine, not as much Vogue or W magazine as their magazine is more formatted differently. To compete and win against them I would have to have something about my magazine that is different and special. This individuality I would need to have could either have to do with the cover or the content. For example the actual content of the magazine would be more art based, or the magazine could be more niche and focus only on fashion shows. The cover could also be thing that sets me from other companies by having a very distinct house style. I could also base on a different audience for example have a more variety of skin tones or use dark skinned people overall, as this has currently also been quite popular having special brands that branch out to coloured people only. Sadly although this is a good idea I decided not to peruse it because based on production I though crazy bright makeup would be easier to apply on lighter skin as it would show more vibrantly. Basic DetailsInspiration Front Cover i want to use strange bright avant garde makeup for my front cover, I think the bright colours would also catch the attention of the audience and would pull them into picking up the magazine. Here is a mood board of inspiration I created for myself to base the look off:
I had to find some double page spreads to inspire my own double page spread which we will have to make for production shortly. I found a couple of different styles that I quite liked, I liked the idea of the big letter over the whole articles as I thought that the pop of colour was really effective. I also enjoyed the idea of the top right cover where the text frames the model which is laying down on the floor. The bottom left I like the bright colors used and how the writing frames the model in the top right is actually goes over the model in the bottom left. In conclusion I like sorta weird eye catching ideas.
